Adopt a tree
In our reforestation program we give you the possibility to adopt one or more young trees that will get planted and taken care of at Rancho Nanacatl.
Watch your tree grow and one day, in the future come visit us enjoy its shade, fruit or flowers depending on what kind of tree you chose to adopt.
The goal is to create a diverse, beautiful forest where there was once bare land.
Our Tree adoption program
Be a part of our reforestation project from afar and support our vision, one tree at a time, making Rancho Nanacatl a lush, evergreen forest.
We do hope that everyone who adopts a tree will come visit it one day!
This could be one of many great reasons to visit our beautiful country.
Trees will only get planted during the rainy season from June to December each year. If you adopt a tree in the dry season (January – May/June) we will be reserving it for you in our nursery and plant it once the rain returns.
Make sure to be patient with your tree child!
Some take up to 8 years or even more to reach maturity or begin to bear fruit.
Everything good takes time.
In case you have any questions about a specific tree or can’t decide which one to adopt feel free to reach out to us to help you. If you would like a special plant request send us a message and we can see if it’s possible to find it for you. We work together with a few small local nurseries in the area. The price of the trees includes the costs for transportation from the Vivero to our ranch. Some trees will get planted faster than others due to their availability.
We offer different, customized tree programs in case you have a business/company and would like to team up for a tree donation program on a bigger scale.
For example run a special month were a certain amount of your profits go to Rancho Nanacatl and into purchasing a larger amount of trees.
In this case the price per tree will also be reduced.
If you want to talk about this option in more detail please feel free to reach out so us via email.
All future harvest of fruit trees will be shared amongst the local families that work on the ranch, our family, friends and of course can be enjoyed by their tree parents on a future visit to Rancho Nanacatl.
We can not guarantee that every tree planted will survive the extreme weather conditions and potential future climate disasters like hurricanes and tropical storms BUT we will do everything in our control to make sure they are well taken care of, happy and loved.
Thank you for the support!
